ND Profile

Carleigh Sturge, ND

Dr. Carleigh Sturge is a newly minted Calgarian, former Torontonian, and forever Newfoundlander.

Her childhood on the East Coast was influenced by professional healers, community leaders, and inquisitive minds of her grandparent’s generation. She grew up with a unique appreciation for natural medicine and the power of nature (read white caps on the Atlantic in January).

While studying Kinesiology at Western University, Carleigh’s curiosity for how the body operates was sparked. The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine provided the support and tools to combine wellness of the spirit with the science of the body to create a balanced approach to care.

Carleigh is a general practitioner, with special interests in sports medicine and fertility support. She stands by food as medicine (Family Supper 101) and starting with the basics to identify root causes. She believes in empowered health care, and that an ounce of prevention is truly worth a pound of cure.

Dr. Sturge is a registered member in good standing of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta (CNDA).
