Dr. Dacyshyn graduated in 2005 from Bastyr University, the pre-eminent authority on science-based Naturopathic education. She has been in practice as a Naturopathic doctor in the Edmonton area since 2006, growing in her skills and experience as an expert in diagnostic evaluation and natural medicines.

She began her pre-medical studies initially to pursue conventional medicine, but quickly realized that it was Naturopathic medicine that would nurture her desire to empower and educate her patients on the powerful principles of preventative medicine. She feels that is truly an honour to do this work, and is inspired by the changes that her patients make. It is a privilege to serve the moms, the kids, the sisters, the brothers, the friends and co-workers of her patients and never takes any of these new meetings for granted.

Her passion in practice is to forge a personal connection with her patients based on a deep respect for the individual in her care and the personal journey they are on, and to get to the heart of their individual health concerns through a comprehensive and informed intake process.  She is also enthusiastic about bridging the gap between conventional and Naturopathic medicine, and stays well-informed on both so that she can enjoy helping her patients negotiate the benefits of both.

She is a well-rounded practitioner with focus in:  digestive disorders such as IBS, Colitis and Crohn’s disease; hormonal issues including PMS, menopause, thyroid, adrenal and male hormone concerns; and mood disorders including depression and anxiety. She is delighted to work with children and adults of all ages.

She has received additional training and certification in the area of intravenous (IV) therapies, epigenetics, detoxification, microbiome and hormone therapy. She uses a variety of testing methods in her practice including: traditional blood draws, allergy testing, DNA probe stool testing, urine steroid testing and many others.
