Tara O'Brien, ND

Dr. O’Brien is one of Northern Ontario’s leading naturopathic doctors.

Her practice is family-oriented, with a focus on women’s health, hormonal balancing, fertility challenges, digestive complaints, weight loss, anti-aging and chronic illness. She practices evidence-based primary care medicine and believes in an integrative approach that uses multiple modalities to achieve optimal results. Tara has a great passion for empowering others to improve their own health – and thereby their quality of life – through naturopathic and functional medicine.

Tara returned to her hometown of Sudbury to join Pure Wellness in 2011. Prior to that, she completed a two-year clinical residency at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto. While at CCNM, she was an active at various free community clinics and women’s health programs, providing holistic health and functional medicine therapies and treatments.

Dr. O’Brien is an active thought leader in various areas including hormonal health, weight loss, digestive health, environmental toxicity and fertility challenges.    She regularly convenes with other health care providers of various disciplines to promote the merits of Naturopathic Medicine and encourage collaborate health care.

Dr. O’Brien has several years of experience prescribing Bioidentical Hormone Therapy. She is fully licensed and able to prescribe Intravenous Therapies (IV). She utilizes the full scope of drugs that can be prescribed by a Naturopathic Doctor.
