ND Profile

Lindsey Walker, ND

Hi my name is Dr. Lindsey Walker, ND.  I hail from Canada’s smallest province – Prince Edward Island.  I completed my undergraduate studies at Dalhousie University where I obtained a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology.  I graduated from my naturopathic training in 2005 from The Canadian College of Naturopathic medicine.  I’ve been in private practice in midtown Toronto since my time of graduation.

I grew up as an active teen in dual aquatic sports – synchronized swimming and competitive swimming.  These activities set a firm foundation of self care through physical activity and nutrition.  It also led to an acute understanding that you can train yourself to do anything with the right mindset and support.

Ultimately, I chose a career in naturopathic medicine for several reasons.  Primarily, I am deeply curious about people and what makes them tick.  What behaviors they participate in and why.  In addition, I knew that working in a conventional medical setting with abbreviated appointments would leave me feeling unfulfilled.  I knew I wanted to provide CARE.  Real, sound, empathetic care while helping people overcome their health challenges.

My areas of clinical focus are:  Gastrointestinal disorders (IBS, IBD (Crohn’s and Colitis), GERD, SIBO, H. pylori infection), women’s health, pediatrics, dermatology and weight management.  It’s my job to “put your health puzzle together”.  To listen, to critically think and assist you in moving forward.  To consider all possibilities.  To treat your whole person through individualized medicine.
