Michael Jurgelewicz, DC, CSCS, CCSP, CNS is the Director of Product Development, Research, and Clinical Support for Designs for Health and has been in health sciences academia the past 8 years. Dr. Jurgelewicz has over 18 years of experience in sports medicine and functional sports nutrition. Dr. Jurgelewicz is a Certified Nutrition Specialist, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) from the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (ACBSP), has an International Certificate in Sports Chiropractic (FICS), is SafeSport Trained (U.S. Center for SafeSport), and has the Westside Barbell Special Strength Certificate. Dr. Jurgelewicz started weight training at Penn State University in 1998 and discovered the sport of Powerlifting in 2009. Dr. Jurgelewicz competed in his first Powerlifting meet in 2009 and has been a Powerlifting Referee since 2019. He stays active in powerlifting by providing medical coverage, coaching, and refereeing.
